Dayara Bugyal Trekking Tour is divided into 3 categories i.e. 2 night, 3 night and 4 nights trek packages. All these trekking tours covers different places like Bakaraia Top, Devkund, Surya Top, and Baranala Tal along with the beautiful Dayara Bugyal Meadows.

The trek is easy and with a gradual ascent. Even beginners can easily trek here. It is a short trek with each day giving such memorable views that fill you with peace to the core of your heart. The whole trek would comprise of short portions of dense forests then open meadows with simple shepherd’s huts to soothe your senses.

This trekking tour to Dayara Bugyal is a must break for city dwellers as this gives them the chance to give their soul the essence of peace. It fills your mind with harmony and positive thoughts. It refreshes you and allows you to connect with other people.

Day 1 – Delhi – Dehradun – Uttarkashi – Raithal – Upper Raithal

Distance – Drive – 435kms | Trek – 1km

The journey will start from Delhi at night. We will supposedly reach Uttarkashi around noon. Uttarkashi is one of the major towns of Uttarakhand. It’ll take another one and a half hour drive to reach Raithal.

Raithal to Upper Raithal is a short hike of just 1km which can be easily done in less than an hour. The well-marked trail begins from the terrace fields of the village and climbs up to the forest entry point. It is an ideal campsite to mark the beginning of the trek with unobstructed views of Mt. Shrikanth, Mt. Jaunli & Mt. Draupadi ka Danda.

Day 2 – Upper Raithal – Ghuyin – Dayara Bugyal

Distance – Trek – 7kms, 5hrs

Start off early in the morning post breakfast. Trail snack will be provided for the trek. 5 minutes into the trail and you’ll enter a beautiful forest rich in flora and fauna. 4kms gradually ascending route from Upper Raithal leads to shepherd huts at Ghuyin, a quaint little hamlet straight out of a fantasy world. After a short break at Ghuyin we’ll proceed towards Dayara Bugyal.

The trail becomes easy with less incline from Ghuyin to Dayara Bugyal. Couple of shepherd huts marks the beginning of Dayara Bugyal. If traveling during winters, this might be the perfect camping spot for you because the higher reaches of Dayara Bugyal will be covered with 2-3ft of snow. During remaining time of the year you can trek further to Dayara Bugyal and camp near a water source. This days trek goes through open land and dense forest at different places and finally ends up at the vast expanse of lush green meadow – Dayara Bugyal.

Day 3 – Dayara Bugyal – Barnala Tal – Barsu – Uttarkashi

Distance – Trek – 8kms | Drive – 42kms

Make sure you get up early because sunrise is spectacularly beautiful at Dayara Bugyal. Bid goodbye to the imposing Himalayan range and trek back to Barsu via Barnala Tal. In just 3hrs time you’ll be able to reach Barsu Village. After reaching Barsu drive straight to Uttarkashi and thereon to Dehradun.

Day 1 – Delhi - Dehradun – Uttarkashi – Raithal – Upper Raithal

Distance – Drive – 435km Trek – 1km

From Delhi to Dehradun you can reach by any means. From Dehradun to Uttarkashi and then from there to Raithal it is by four wheelers like Max or TATA Sumo. It is a beautiful drive as you can enjoy a majestic view of mountains passing you by.

After reaching Raithal your trek starts. From Raithal to Upper Raithal it is an easy trek of 1 km. A well marked trail beginning from terrace fields of village will guide you till the forest entry point and along with you there is the breath taking view of Mt. Shrikanth, Mt. Jaunli and Mt. Draupadi ka Danda.

Day 2 – Upper Raithal – Ghuyin – Dayara Bugyal

Distance – Trek – 7 km

Early start form Upper Raithal will lead you to a beautiful forest rich in flora and fauna within five minutes of starting of trek. A general ascending slope will take you to Ghuyin after trekking 4km. There are few shepherds’ huts there that are simple yet cozy. You can take a short break there and start again as now the trek gets easier with less inclination.

Couple of huts marks the starting of Dayara bugyal. If you are travelling during winters then this is a safe spot for camping as the higher portion of bugyal are covered in snow up to 2-3 feet. Any other season you can camp at higher part of bugyal where there is a fresh water source also. The vast meadow welcomes you with lush green grass and beautiful wild flowers.

Day 3 – Dayara Bugyal – Bakaraia Top – Dayara Bugyal

Distance – 4 km

Now comes the most beautiful part of the trek. Walk slowly and leisurely and discover the complete area of Dayara bugyal as it is different from every angle giving you ample opportunities to you to click pictures.

Now climb steep slope to reach Bakaraia Top and get lost in the enchanting view at 3810 meters. You have to stay and fall in love with the sunset there.  Go back to Dayara bugyal with a beautiful memory and amazing pictures.

Day 4 – Dayara Bugyal – Barnala Tal – Barsu – Uttarkashi – Dehradun – Delhi

Distance – Drive – 435 km Trek – 8 km

Wake up early and feast your eyes and soul with a view of sunrise at Dayara bugyal. Walk around and try to capture as much as you can.

Now the trek is quite easy and mainly downward. And in no time you will reach the end Barsu. From there roads are there to facilitate vehicles.

Wake up to enjoy the most beautiful day of this trek. Trek towards Devkund and Surya Top for stunning aerial views of the widespread meadows and grand Himalayan vistas. Explore the virgin landscape, there will be plenty of photography opportunities for you because Dayara Bugyal looks different from every angle.

Day 4 – Dayara Bugyal – Bakaria Top – Barnala Tal

Distance – Trek – 9kms, 4hrs

Soak in the sunrise and post breakfast start descending towards the meadow, then follow the trail towards Bakaria Top. A steep climb amidst the meadow will take you to Bakaria Top (3810mts), highest point in the nearby region. Watch the horizon from the top and trek down to Baranala Tal via Dayara Bugyal.

Day 5 – Barnala Tal – Barsu – Uttarkashi

Distance – Trek – 8kms | Drive – 42kms

Note: All trekkers are expected to carry their own backpacks with personal belongings
